Considering the brief, it specifies how my primary audience will be focused solely on 16 - 25 year olds. From the produced music video they are expected to be emotionally engaged. This suggests how my audience would have access to technology which brackets them into an AB Demographic. This means that they are typically categorised as upper or middle class. However due to the large range of age differences, it could also mean that the majority of them could be too young to be employed therefore recognised as an E Demographic. 

Bearing this in mind, most of my target audience would have a high culture competency regarding forms of media and entertainment. This could be interpreted in many ways by what they are interested in and what they consume. For instance, my demographic are dominantly known to use social media apps such as Snapchat, Instagram and Tiktok. Unlike the older generation, where they mostly prefer the use of Facebook. In terms of inspiration, most target audiences look up to celebrities but now have gained a strong appreciation for influencers and online creators. Due to the vast variety of genres in the media, this can include: make up guru's such as Bretman Rock or reality stars such as the Kardashians or even Tiktok stars like Charlie D'amielio. The improvement of technology advances also meant that most of my demographic rely on streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney + to provide them with entertainment on screen devices rather than Television. This helps me to recognise how to approach and market my artist's music to my advantage because it could mean cheaper marketing techniques like extra promotion on social media rather than buying out of date billboards or posters. Other research I have conducted is studying the type music genres that has peaked in the past year. The results found that in a 2018 UK survey that 70% of British People prefer pop music and followed by R&B and Dance music by 45%. However, I have also spotted the attraction of chill rap music in artists like Stormzy or Cardi B. In regards with what they watch on the streaming services. Popular series that are recognisable are Stranger Things, Bridgertons or Ginny and Georgia. It is important for me to delve into the type of series my audience have been watching as it allows for opportunities for me to include intertextuality and Easter egg references I could include from iconic romance movies or shows as it compliments the briefs concept of love songs.

Intertextuality can be incorporated by making references to iconic romance movies. My initial thoughts were: Love Rosie - a stand still of the globe key chain scene, Topanga & Cory's Panera Present Forever Flatbreads.
